3rd Annual Meeting Of Network’s BoD

The 3rd annual meeting of Network BoD was held on Saturday 14th October 2017, in Nafpaktos.

During the meeting, President presented cooperation activities with foreign entities, as municipality of Gornji Milanovac in Serbia and Network representatives meeting with governmental, parliamentary and other entities in Cyprus (Union of Cyprus Municipalities and the Union of Cyprus Communities). Furthermore, President informed members about signature of Memorandum of Understanding between Network and Mariupol municipality in Ukraine, after their representatives recent meeting in Town Hall of Dorida municipality.

In addition, members were notified of Network’s services provided to its members, as supporter of Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. President also mentioned Network’s participation in Greek Alternative Exhibition and Forum NOSTOS 2017. Ukraine was the honour guest country in Network’s pavilion.

During the meeting, several technical and administrative issues were also discussed. In this context, below subjects were unanimously approved:

  • Co-organizing of sport activities with Hellenic Rowing Federation and Hellenic Federation of Kanoe-Kayak, in Network’s lakes.
  • Co-organizing of Network’s Annual General Meeting with thematic conference of Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, in spring 2018.
  • The participation of municipalities that they have lagoons within their administrative boundaries, as Network’s members.
  • The participation of Bansko and Razlog in Bulgaria and city of Lebedyn in Ukraine, as Network’s affiliated members.
