It is one of the largest suburban forests in Greece with remarkable botanical wealth. Thebes Province of Viotia is adorned by notable ecological treasures. Prominent place among them is Moschopodiou Forest. A large green area with remarkable botanical wealth, which lies next to Thebes, providing to the residents the opportunities for environmental education, for quality recreation and sports. In the center it is dominated by the hills of Great and Small Psilorachi, in the north the area is defined by Koumerki hill and in the east by the Soros hill (547m.).
