Lake Ozeros

It’s a permanent freshwater lake in the west of Acheloos river, of which is a sub-basin and has a total area of 59 km2.

It has a surface of 11 km2, and depth of 8 -10 m.

It is of tectonic origin its creation was due to the existence of a large rift zone from Amvrakikos till Messolonghi lagoon.

It is a clear oligotrophic lake that irrigates about 4,000 acres.
